Pet catalog states rear light housing gets a rubber washer a shake proof washer (sirated or star type) and then a nut. I have never seen this on any 914. Has anyone else?

Yep; that’s what mine has. Rubber washer keeps out water; replaced them a few months ago with ones from local hardware store.

The proper lock washer is an internal toothed lock washer, not a star washer
