Pet catalog states rear light housing gets a rubber washer a shake proof washer (sirated or star type) and then a nut. I have never seen this on any 914. Has anyone else?

yep, @StarBear is spot on.
the PET is correct. right down to the little friction washer. still got them all on mine. |

The proper lock washer is an internal toothed lock washer, not a star washer
