I still remember why VW got my heart and mind.
We had many American RWD cars as I was growing up. we lived on a hill, fairly steep when its covered in snow. the Beetle was a tank, it never let me down on getting out of the neighborhood (we had hills in both directions) Then the VW rabbit showed up...FWD was an amazing invention. Again....a snow beast IMHO I think the FWD with actual heat...that got me forever into the VW/Porsche/Audi family. If you remember the beetle had a towel rack over the glove box... That was defrost. Yes, I still have two...64/71 Rich |
