Neo914 gas cap..., Nice "bling" Options

Since my hood will be a pretty wide and featureless without the headlights, I will make the gas filler a feature...probably along with another vent but I'll reveal that later.

I like the idea of your project, and the Porsche embossed gas cap is cool......but....one of the nice things about the 914 is the security of the gas tank.  I can see why you'd want it accessable in a race car, but for me that would be the only reason.  I'm not big on a gas cap as a styling feature, and IMHO it's against the grain of your project.  Just my .02 though, it's your car and you've got to do as you wish!  ;)

Opening a trunk lid in order to fill your gas makes no sense to me...but maybe that is a "unique" 914 feature I'm eliminating (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)

My decisions are based on the overall design. To lead the eye around the car you need points of interest. If doesn't look "right" when everythings together at least I can change the lid and tank. I hope to work out most of the potential changes on paper as physical changes cost more $$$ (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif)
