I have a 1972, 914. On the trailing arms, there is hand painted numbers. The numbers happen to be upside down does anybody know if this is a type of production number or simply numbers for the 914 car parts from factory?
I know on other Porsche’s like 911s the factory used colored pens to mark the bolts showing that they have been checked for tightness, etc. do you think this is another safety check or a manufacturing cataloging number?

Thanks
