I have searched and am getting conflicting and somewhat nebulous answers. On my 1970 1.7 I have reverse, and first. Where second gear should be, is reverse. I havent driven it on the street yet so I can't say for any of the other gears. The previous owner replaced the shifter bushings and did what everyone of has probably done, knocked the adjustment out of whack. I figured it out once by myself on another 914 I had many years ago. Before I knew about this forum. Can anyone tell me the right way to adjust the shifter on my tailshift transmission so I can get all the gears?
Thank you so much in advance! Picture of the patient. Attached image(s) ![]() |
