FS:1973 914, Nice Project Options

For sale is a 1973 914 project car. I was saving this car on the back burner for my next project but I acquired another one and don't have the resources to keep this one. This is a very restorable example. It has some some hell hole rust and some rust in the rear trunk but other than that the body is very solid. The rust situation is fairly isolated. No accident damage that I could tell. The body was originally Delphi Green metallic but has been repainted in red. The bumpers appear to originally be chromed but they were painted over. It has the rare heated rear window option. I believe this was originally was a 1.7L car but the motor is a bit of a mystery. It has a 1.7L engine code but it has 2.0L heads on it. My assumption is that the motor was built larger than 1.7L but the only way to know is to tear it apart. The motor and transmission are currently out of the car but I can reinstalled to make transporting easier. I have most of the other parts that are not currently shown/with the car. Seats, backpad, trim, etc. The car is located in Western NC 28714. Clear title in my name. $2000.
