grand final.

our version of the super bowl.

KISS = pre game entertainment.

For years pre game entertainment has been .................awful.
some genius got on to the problem this year and really solved it

this went off like 15 H bombs.
they came in with i was made for loving you and went out i wanna rock and roll all night.
i was 14 again. and..........its all right about the time of a 74/75 914. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
broad daylight too under a ultra violet north antarctica sun like a blow torch.

Attached Image

great game too.
nail biter all the way to the final siren. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

here is a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) to the USA/north antarctica military treaty.
some things are still good in the world.
can't imagine getting off to a chines rock band? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

got to assess balance sheets etc on the dolehah hahs and no sense military operations budget.

can report the following due to KISS induced 3 day weekend.
city has been deserted as most folks left town to make space for the influx of footy fans from bris-vegas (everyone in melbourne hates collingwood except collingwood fans so they shot through).
got to drive L jet two days in a row. first time this year.
had a nice drive into the daylight savings sunset on practically deserted roads.
gave it a little stick on whats left of my race track after dicktator dan destroyed 50% of it for his tunnel under the river.

today, being the second day, it didn't even crank when i turned the key.
i swear if fired on the first cylinder to spark. turned key and instant fire up.
don't think i even heard it go rurr. let alone rurr rurr.
like i flicked a light switch.

i guess it holds fuel pressure for 24 hours? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)
one for @Van B to set as his standard.

post script. funniest aftermath of a grand final i can remember for ages.
probably since the last time collingwood won. muted mood.
90% of the town doesn't care.
the hated team?
i reckon most of melbourne was barracking for bris-vegas.
great game though. one of the best for decades. a rumble all the way to the end.

further bonus for @Van B
the dicktator resigned in a shock announcement last week and has done a runner.
people don't know whether to cheer or get worried. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
but he has left the building.

PARTY!!!

PARTY all right.

they were great.
you can find it on you tube i think.
they are all pretty old now. with wigs etc but the make up makes em look like it may as well be 74. they gave it everything as i understand this is it for KISS. think the show in sydney is going to be their good bye forever when it comes to down here. KISS are a a bit like ABBA and BLONDIE, they got their first #1 hits down here. what do you expect, ------>this is where ACDC come from. aussies have taste is spades when it comes to party music.

kiwis are real pissed because KISS are not doing shows in kiwi land as they depart in the retirement home limo.

they are so old and burned up they could only handle one song each on the vocal chords.
but they gave it everything they had.

really surprised me. i wasn't expecting it when i sat down in front of the screen for the game. they were the guys to do the show and i think they set a bench mark that is going to be hard to top. @wonkipop , what happens after 24hrs i.e. how long till it drops to zero?

congrats on getting rid of Dan... really hope that's an indication of sunrise and not sunset...

not sure as have not tested with a gauge to know (not since recommissioning 4 years ago).

but it usually gets started and driven weekly.
and it takes maybe 3-4 cranks to fire after being left a week.

as remarked on i have not had a chance to drive it two days in a row for quite a while.
i could not quite believe it fired so instantly as it did.
it must have had sufficient fuel pressure to open the fuel injectors in my view.

i should add this was a cold start so it probably got a little squirt of the CSI to assist with the instant start. i notice its not so fast when the car is warmed after being driven.
it usually a 2-3 crank start then. say if its been left for half an hour or even 10 minutes.

I recently saw a show about a real tall yank now playing footy. It’s a rough game. Doubly so with no pads. More exciting than US fb.

not as rough as it looks.
game has been cleaned up a lot.
was a lot harsher back in the 70s and 80s.
the tackles are never as fierce as they are in rugby.

its a running game of kicking, handballing and disposal.
mode of tackling pretty strictly controlled.
most of the players resemble basketball players these days.
fast running players. only the full backs and full forwards in front of the goals tend to be a bit beefier.

probably explains the tall american.

always been a bit of a flow of players from AFL into USA football.
they tend to get picked up for the job of assigned goal kicker.
whats that called again in USA footy?
the best AFL players can usually deliver a pretty good punt kick over a fair old distance.
