Is anyone aware of a reference for the height of the variety of studs on 914-6 engine (aka 1967–1969 911T 2.0L) Our engine was missing a few, and for the ones that remained I neglected to measure them before removing. My understanding is the studs are not necessarily meant to bottom out in their threaded opening.
I have looked in my books and tried the Google machine. I have only found reference to the head studs, which are recommended to be set 133-135mm from the case to the top of the installed stud. Trying to find a reference for the other studs (i.e., not head studs). To be clear, I can find the size of the studs in the parts catalog. I'm looking for how much is exposed from the case. Thank you. |
