Are we on Greenwich Mean Time by any chance? I think the server is in Oakland CA or is it in the cloud with its box located in Iceland? Maybe we're too close to a black hole.
And remember, objects in space define gravity, & gravity defines time. Here goes the test. At least it's beer thirty time now here for sure. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) |

Very interesting indeed. So how does the code know what time zone the poster is in? Is there a header that has the local time zone attached? What is UTC time?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) I'm glad the server is serving. Is it serving with sterling silver trays? There's a mansion up this way known as FILOLI. The kitchen has a big walk-in vault where thay would keep the silver. That's where your server is. I suppose it's temperature controlled to minimize the current draw. It would be nice to meet you someday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) |

Very interesting indeed. So how does the code know what time zone the poster is in? Is there a header that has the local time zone attached? What is UTC time? UTC = GMT Universal Time Coordinated Greenwich Mean Time QUOTE Although GMT and UTC share the same current time in practice, there is a basic difference between the two: - GMT is a time zone officially used in some European and African countries. The time can be displayed using both the 24-hour format (0 - 24) or the 12-hour format (1 - 12 am/pm). - UTC is not a time zone, but a time standard that is the basis for civil time and time zones worldwide. This means that no country or territory officially uses UTC as a local time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif) |
