Didn't actually lose my speedo.....lost functionality. (I know where the guage is).
This evening's drive, heard a "noise" coming from the guage area. Then it stopped for awhile, and started producing the noise again....and speedo needle was rather erratic. So I pulled over, pulled the speedo out and disconnected the cable. It looks to me like the square female end on the speedo isn't square anymore...cable end looks fine. Bad pic of the speedo end. What are my options? Can I replace the square recepticle end on the speedo? I'll also add, I have noticed a slight bounce in the needle for as long as I've owned the car. 3yrs. Tips, comments, remedies are appreciated. Thx. |
