yep... it is 1/2 an inch up
Brad advised me to mount it 1/2" up if I was going to run headers on a low car to make sure I got enough ground clearance...

Oh man Jeroen, when I saw that post about it being too high my stomach flipflopped. I had visions of trying to grind those welds.

Now, that looks Mavvvelous.

I figured, worse case scenario, I could put a 1/2" washer under the mounts and use longer bolts to lower it back

I did forget one thing though... I should have grinded a vent hole at the bottom center of the welded piece
I fear it's going to be a water trap (I'm not using any engine tin, so there's quite an exposed scoop (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) )

well, instead of just sittin' here glaring at my monitor, I got off my ass and put the (old) engine in the car for mock up
went in smooth and fits like a glove
just took me 20min (no help) so that explains the smug grin (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
