Early 914 backpad wrapped in the original tan vinyl. No rips to be found, just some peeling away on the bottom that can be fixed with some spray adhesive. The fiberboard backing is in good shape, but there is light damage to the bottom corners. 3/4 metal tabs are present. I'll ship through UPS if you pay for it.

Does this early style backpad disassemble into two parts? The later style unscrews along the seams into three parts, making it easier to ship.

Nope

It can be disassembled for restoration but it doesn't unscrew like the later pads.
