Either one, same old story. Depended on what was on the shelf at the time. probably correct. i left some photos and comments in originality section where @TonyA also posted. the clips etc on mine are original and i believe its oxidised cadmium plating. looks similar to how my front strut mounting plates are these days 50 years on. silver with white oxidation spots. but i can remember they were cadmium back in 89 when i got the car. mines a 74 1.8 late jan build so its only a few weeks before LE production started. i left some other photos from Ljet research of other months production. seems like they are also all oxidised cadmium if i had to call it. |

Got them in chromate individually and in kits. I can check my LE tomorrow, but thought it was the gold cad.
