CIP1 told me that this starter will work with my '74 914. Can anybody confirm?

https://www.cip1.ca/acc-c10-5767-wos/

Thank you!
Matt

I almost fell out of my seat when I saw the price. But then realized it was in Canadian Dollars. Link for same part in USD for those who care: https://www2.cip1.com/acc-c10-5767-wos/

I’m interested in the answer to your question as well. I’ve been hearing good things about the benefits of a quality made, good fitting, high torque starter on a 914.

I have bought 5 from this seller. He's currently out of stock, but message him to see when he will have more $165

It's a bit difficult to source parts from Canada sometimes. My easiest options are the one from CIP at the top of the thread (for $343), or I can get a remanufactured Bosch one from my FLAPS ($220).

I'm thinking the reman, cause I know it will fit and it's cheaper. Any thoughts?

I am in my second reman Bosch. I would go for a new style, it's just not worth messing around with the reman.

I used this one from CIP without any issues: https://www.cip1.ca/acc-c10-5767/

Same SKU, just without the -WOS manufacturer suffix.
