Due to my Optima battery being dead, I started down the rabbit hole of light weight racing batteries after discovering that the Optima is 40lbs.

Asking if anyone has first hand experience with the likes of Braille, AntiGravity or any other brands. I run an alternator and expect to have a jump box for cold start.

Thanks,
GregM

Really like my AntiGravity battery. I'm using an ATX-20 ReStart.

I live for lightness and treated my car to the same Anti Gravity battery. It is shockingly light at 5.2Lbs

I have had no problems whatsoever.

EDIT- I wanted to add that the battery is certainly not cheap. Best price online was actually through Walmart at $335.

Don’t know the exact weight but way less than 40# (est. 15#). Spins the engine well, been in service 15 months. 330 CCA, 28AHAttached Image .

I've used the smaller Odyssey PC680's for years now with great results. I disconnect it when the car's parked (cut-off switch). My car has a really bare-bones electrical system tho...
