Was just looking at PET and it shows a spring washer that wasn’t present on my car—number 11 in the attached schematic. Does this washer go on top of the wiper arm and what was the correct finish?

I think I just answered my own question…found an M8 spring washer and it fits perfectly (on top of the arm; makes sense). Guessing finish isn’t visible with the cap on but would still be curious as to what the original finish was if anyone knows.
