For instance, my good bud John W. (Rev in Peace Otto) would pack this Frunk with ice cold Beer, and after last lap of the day at Big Willow ...deliver these to the corner workers. Ice Cold straight outta' da Frunk (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Most of them ALSO had a glow in the dark internal release handle so if you locked your elf/hamster/rabbit in the frunk it could escape!

vw type 3.
had two trunks.
USA type people had to invent a new word for the front one.
because there was still a trunk in the usual place.

corvairs, beetles, 356s, 911s etc same deal only one trunk.
they just called it a trunk even if it was in the front.

think the 914 is kinda unique like the type3 having two trunks.

we call em a boot in australia if they are in the usual place.
which makes em a froot here? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) we decided not to call it that for obvious reasons.

i can remember it being called a frunk when i lived in chicago and bought my 914 back in 89. i think the mechanic who worked on my car called it that. i think the word was around in some circles.

it was all strange to me being an aussie. when some one said trunk i thought of a tree or an elephant. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
