Is this a Japanese-market only part? Appears to be euro only as confirmed, found when searching on Japanese auction site when I was ready to buy and that one had full red markings ,long time ago however . Cheers. I think its a ROW (Euro/Japanese) market item, not Euro-only. This speedo pictured below is on Georges' 1974 Japanese-market 914 SL Bumblebee. Note Georges's is also the later black center style, where yours is the earlier silver dot style pointer. Jeff found the pic of the JDM unit , didn't know I still had it ,differant marking again . ![]() Different part number and black dot needle ,cheers |

I'd be interested, depending on price. I have resisted switching to a "mo authentic" Kmh (not MPH) speedo for some time, as i figured my tiny brain would struggle with the constant translation in a country with all road signs in MPH. The answer might be just to ignore speed limits ;-)
@Porschetub if you're up for trade +/- money, then I do still have that used 911 Bosch distributor we talked of years ago put aside. PM me if there's still interest? - Tony PS. Just saw the "for sale" entry.. |

Not only are you potentiall driving at 250, but most of the time the needle is in one red zone or another. I congratulate the owner. |

Yeah, the 100km/h start of the red zone is weird.
I don't know anything about Japan speed limits, but as a German that seems quite odd. We have had a "suggested cruising speed" of 130km/h on the Autobahn but those parts without a speed limit mean exactly that, no speed limit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Thanks Andy , assuming 100kph is the max over there like it is here in my country , the one I'am selling is a euro part ,further to research a key player Early 911 Registry mentioned that one is euro 914/6 part . Thanks for your euro info ,cheers. |
