Looks like we’re not going to make it this weekend. Car’s not to the point of trusting it for a long drive. Hope you can use our registration fees to buy a round for those in attendance. Hope to be at the next event.

Unfortunately I won't be attending the 1st two days of the event due to new job obligations. I look forward to finally meeting some new faces at the cars and coffee at Niello Porsche Rocklin. I will be bringing my 74 1.8 that's been in the family since new (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Oh damn! Just reading about this now and it's already underway.

Something told me to put the charger on the battery last night. Funny how that happens. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)

Enjoy and maybe I'll see you at the next one.

Getting ready for the last part of this event, the Cars 'n Coffee being hosted by Porsche Rocklin happening this morning (Sunday). Yesterday was an absolute blast. This was the 1st Annual Nor Cal 914 Fest, and these guys hit it out of the park. The entire event was well planned with regular stops, excellent food at great places, and parking locations where we could all park and walk around and chat comfortably.

Special thanks to Ride to Walk located in Penryn where we all met up Saturday morning for coffee, bagels, donuts and OJ. I got to meet some really big, giant actually, horses as well as some mini-horses. Then we headed out and stopped for lunch at Solid Ground Brewing in Diamond Springs for great food and then we were off to Sutter Creek where we stopped and relaxed for a bit. We ended the day at Red Bus Brewing Company in Folsom where we had Mexican food, listened to some Blues and awards were given out from generous donations from PMB, Porsche Rocklin and a few others.

We had 18 914's, 4 of which were original 914-6's, all in good condition. All of the cars performed well and everyone had a great time.

OK, now I have to go clean my car for this mornings event at Porsche Rocklin. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

The Cars 'n Coffee at Porsche Rocklin was very well attended. We had the parking directly in front of the showroom. We had many 911's of various models present. It was a good time and the weather was perfect; a great end to a great event.

Now for my pet-peeve... We had several Ferrari's, Lambo's, Corvettes, as well as a group of several GT3 RS cars all arrive together. They pulled in, stayed briefly, pulled out and drove like fools as they departed. Across the street from the dealership are homes. This is the kind of behavior which results in law enforcement taking action to deter that stuff as neighbors and other businesses complain about the reckless driving antics of a few. Please be respectful of our hosts, and neighbors when you leave these events. If you have to drive like that, please wait until you are on the freeway and not in neighborhoods.

Hi Mike,
Really enjoyed meeting you at cars and coffee this morning at Porsche Rocklin.
I read through your build thread when I got home. What a saga! Fortunately the end result is absolutely stunning! The attention to detail is over the top. Love the color, stock appearance, including the “warts” and no flares. I look forward to seeing you and your awesome six at the next event.

Hey guys had a great time!!!! It was great meeting you all and the other local and semi local 914ers. I look forward to next year !

Give yourselves a nice pat on the back for the great event.

I hope I didn’t make too much of a ruckus when leaving dealership but the street was empty and I couldn’t help myself. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) I do apologize….
