Hello world!
Scrolling through social media earlier in the week, I came across a post from a gentleman in San Diego selling a 914. Happy to report that after a brief ignition trouble-shoot and wiring connections - the car runs, drives, brakes, shifts and turns and I have video! Currently, this is slatted to get a carb tune-up, ignition tune-up (perhaps MSD?) and a valve-job, though as it's ready to go, I thought I would give 914-World a firs-shot. Also, car is titled / registered / currently on PNO. A bit about the car... - 911E Engine (*6200086*) w/ Carbs + Headers - 901 Gearbox (Side-shift) - Fuchs wheels - Willwood Brakes / Vented rotors all-around - Bilstein front suspension / Coil-over rear-suspension - Race Seats / Harness (Not my favorite, but they clean up nice) - Front Mount Oil Cooler - 'Fuel Safe' Tank - Roll cage and reinforced chassis (appears to be Mad-dog or other) - Fiberglass quarter-panels (done VERY well) - 'Glassed-in' roof - Fiberglass front and rear-hoods Areas to be addressed: - Valve Adjustment - Ignition Tuning (Points, Plugs, SP-wires, etc.) - Carb adjustment / Sync (Rebuilt, though pending adjustment) - Speedo not functional (suspect bad speedo-cable) - Tach not functional (suspect disconnected wire) - Wiring 'clean up' (some spliced connections, will be soldering / applying safety-sheathing. Priced $19,500 - Open to trades, doesn't have to be Porsche. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hey everyone—
Following up on my original post from March. I’ve had a chance to go over the car more thoroughly, clean things up, and shoot a quick behind-the-scenes video. Here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK82RRSXBjw?si=N2TMGe1LUcGZcdSP It’s not a build series—just a casual walk-through, startup, and a short test drive to give you a better feel for what it is. A few notes to avoid a flood of repeat questions: • The car does run and drive. It starts, shifts, and stops. • I think it still needs a valve adjustment, ignition cleanup, and a carb sync to be fully dialed. • No, it’s not rusted out. • Titled, registered, and currently on PNO. Asking $19,500 - Open to trades—doesn’t have to be a Porsche. Would love to see this go to someone in the community who’ll appreciate what it is: a solid, race-inspired 914-6 conversion with a great foundation and plenty of soul. Happy to answer questions or provide more photos if needed. Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) |

Thread bump for a price drop. I’ve had a few inquiries, but nothing finalized yet.
I’m targeting another purchase, so as promised I’m offering La Avispa at $19,500 OBO for the next few weeks. After that, I’ll either move forward with the build, part it out, or hold onto it. Listing the price drop here first and would much rather see it stay in the 914World community. The price won’t be going lower. If someone’s been waiting, this is the window. |
