I really like the 125# rear springs. I’m running a rear sway, and it’s a good combo.

For me, the 14” length is perfect. No spring rattle, yet plenty of room to adjust ride height either way. I’m running whatever the height is when the trailing arms are horizontal. Trying to avoid wild geometry shifts.

This is with Bilstein shocks though. They have pretty firm damping both ways.

I've always preferred a softer spring set up, but have had to go pretty stiff on this car, similar to Aaron, for autocrossing with Hoosier A7s. And I'm still bottoming out the suspension on shortened bump stops. How are you running soft suspension and not just riding on the bump stops during corners? Or, have you set it up like a Miata where the bump stops are an intentional part of the suspension and you're tuning bump stop durometer? My ride height is low, but not crazy low. Front ride height is just enough that the front control arms haven't quite gotten to horizontal; back is set so car rake is about zero. Would like to go a little lower, but roll centers get really poor and spring rates are crazy high with so much reliance on bump stops.

I put this in another thread but should be here too:

These guys make awesome springs and affordable too. Matched to less than a pound with certificate:

I think you want the 2.5" ID flavor - pick your length and rate

My new to me 914-4 is 1825lbs weighed last week on Longacre scales and a 44%-56% balance (I like adding lightness)

Somehow, I got talked into 21mm hollow bars up front and 250lb coils in back.

The car is way too stiff on the street and I consider myself a hard-core racer canyon carver type.

I will soon be changing to 19mm front and 180lb rear.

Still to much.

I don't know, I'm pretty hard core.

I received my 160lb rear springs and am pretty happy with them. I have been waiting for months for the 19mm front bars which are supposedly three weeks away still (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I didn't take a lot of photos of the build process, just because that can become a full time job, but I do have a few just as a teaser. I'll actually take real pics of the whole thing soon. It's a really complicated thing lol.

The second photo says a lot I think.

That whole setup is pretty tempting. I love the HP vs. lightness. Can you tell us about the weight (or lack of) involved with a conversion like this. Is that an intercooler on the intake?
