I am looking at the Bursch exhaust for my 2056 and need some guidance.
The Bursch BX.1404.SS combines cyls 2&4 and 1&3 crossing over from one side of the engine to the other. The Bursch BX.1402.SS combines cyls 1&2 and 3&4 crossing over the pipes on just the same side. What is the difference in performance? |

The firing order is 1-4-3-2 so both of those exhausts should work about the same.

Decent explanation of headers:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puAACxYP_dw Believe the T1 shares the same firing order as a T4. |

The part numbers posted look to me like two parts in the same system and both are needed unless you're using your existing heat exchangers.
https://lnengineering.com/bursch-bx-1404-ss...ust-system.html https://lnengineering.com/bursch-bx-1402-ss...eel-header.html As far as which cylinders to merge you want 1-3 and 2-4 grouped so that pulses are 180° out from each other. Doesn't matter in a 4:1 system but in a 4:2:1 or 4:2 it will. |
