Like where in fuel line system on the car are people usually mounting their fuel pressure regulator? After the long tunnel line and before the one that curves up below the battery? I have the stainless lines if that changes anything

The 914-6 fuel system does not have a regulator. The carbs operate at a much lower pressure than fuel injection systems of the 914-4.

SBsix, its an Aftermarket pump thats low pressure, but with my weber experience they are finnicky on DCOE's with pressure and have read the same for the IDA's so I plan to use one no matter what

I bought used VW clips off Samba and they were identical. If you get in a jam, let me know I can 3D print serviceable ones.

This shows one of the mounting clip holes, but I took the easy way when replacing the hoses way back.
