These are from my daily drivers(weekender). They are not cores, they are very nice. I have uo to 3 years use on them. Time for 1-2 blocker rings /seals on both. They both will shift without grind if you go sloooowly with the shift. A normal shift to 2nd will give that annoying little 'kick' feeling to your hand but no grind. No abuse and both have been on 4cyl engs. One of these will go back into a driver and the other one I'd like to sell. Shipping should be no problem with me. I will have pics of both of them apart(gasket thickness, fork wear, bearing surfaces...nos....You can choose either one. new rings should bring them to excellent, we will see how they look inside,.
Oh , I will not be removing the diff plate, there is absolutely no reason to do that, if one needed that I woulld question the whole thing.Bearings are fine and the seals were not leaking. The green one has the threaded boss for throttleAttached Image Attached Image Attached Image

The green one is looking really good and I have driven it the most(3yrs). 1&2 blocker ring(genuine porsche) and gasket/seal set, $1800 would be a bargain. The red one has been apart before, I can see, and will be fine for my driver with 1-2 rings but I would not trust it to someone else.

Very confusing descriptions. Fresh but grinds going into gear? Two trans one price.
You built them? What all was done?

Is that spray paint over the front and back or something easily removable? Kinda strange to paint them in such a way. Suggest you remove prior to sale.

Yes its showing that the parts dont get swapped/ mixed between the 2. I have 3 apart after that pic.(imagine if someone put the green(pinion)shaft into the 'red' case(ring gear) Thats not going to happen

LOL, I guess that was confusing! The original post was this...
"I am doing 1-2 blocker rings and seals on my 2 drivers. I have a 3rd trans from another I owned and am planning to do that one as well. I have one more to keep for backup. So if anyone wants one with new blocker rings/seals I can part with one. I have driven all 3 a lot and they only have slightly weak 1-2 rings and slight seal leaks. new blocker rings are amazing for improved shifting. I could do a 3rd grear ring if u want. Just make me an offer.

Basicaly..I am 'freshening up' my transmissions, all of them, at once, and I will have an extra if anybody needs it.

Not sure what you mean by blocker ring? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Are you referring to the synchro band, the dog teeth, or the slider, all three working together.

Fresh to me mean all three of these components are new for first gear and second gear (slider 2-3). For 3-4-5, these should be in excellent condition with properly focused pictures of the dog teeth and slider points as proof of condition.

One would also expect all new seals everywhere and pictures of R&P condition. What about bearings?

Using the gasket thickness as a reference to ensure pinion depth is not necessarily a good reference as these 50YO boxes have been played with by many people. Chances are the original gasket has been replaced by one of what thickness?

Proper way to do this is beginning by setting pinion depth and determine what gasket thickness is required at the intermediate plate.

To me these are running gearboxes of some kind of condition. No fresh box should grind or leak in my book.

Not trying to be mean but description is definitely confusing. GLWTS.

Ok….

Suggestion. Pick the one you want to sell. Advertise it with that boxes details and price it for what you want to get for it. Close these two ads. Remove the paint as it’s unsightly and less appealing to buyers. Good parts are always nice to have and glad you are offering them to the community.
