Does anyone recognize this fog light switch? It is what was found on our 1970 914-6. Dr. B's book indicates these should be green and has a different icon on it.

I am going to speculate that since fog lights were an option, a dealer did the install and just grabbed a functional switch. That would make it original but not factory? Still curious what it was actually intended for.

The switch does appear to be a 911 item. Probably the car was not equipped with fog lights from the factory, and was a dealer install with available parts.

Only 2 versions. Green one is correct for you. Yellow is some 73 and 74 on

Thanks. I appreciate the photo that includes part numbers!

I thought maybe the yellow was EU running lights since the icon is different?

I guess I will keep what I have for the time being, assuming it works. Then declare our car "original" if not "factory". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It is no where a concours car at this stage anyway.

When you unscrew the knob from the switch, it interchangable
with the other ones on the dash or is it different.?

I don't have access to the car at the moment. I will report back in a couple weeks.

If the knob part unscrews and can interchange with the emergency flasher,
it might have the correct switch under the dash and just the wrong knob on the dash.
If that is the case, I can send you this and it should be correct.
