I'm sure by saying this i may be exictued by the 914 illuminatti, but i really can't get into GT Flares.... they stick to damn far out and ruin the original lines of the car. Just my opinion... sue me! So In the middle of my restoration of my 70 I realized that the rear wheels that I have choosen, with their wide offset do not fit under the quarter panels. What to do, what to do? Flare the damn things!
But like I said above i hate GT flares.... especially if i'm just gonna put them in the back.... UGLY AS HELL! The answer? NATURAL FLARES! Now these aren't all that hard to do... you just need to measure measure measure!!! Now On this car I only flared 1 1/4 inches at the widest to make the quarters clear the wheels, while still looking like the tires are barely stuffed in the wheelhouse. Illusions are f*&%ing awesome! So later today i will start posting what one quarter looks like already flared... and then a step by step process of how to flare the opposite side. CHECK BACK LATER!!! NaturallyFlared914 aka. Matt |
