somtimes enlargements need to be subtle (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) ...The lip has been pulled and inch and 3/4s out and fitted with 225s on 7s, a bit tight (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) .... (sorry not done by me)

That is exactly the way I want mine.
225x40x17 on 8" rims.
What method was used to get 1 3/4"?

the eights might be cause for concern. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif) ...but first the lips were rolled using a dowel, then the quarters where dollied out by hand, They could have been stretched more with extensive dollying, but any bigger with the wheel and the body man would have recomended sectioning the quarter, my next car will have eights, but that is another story, (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

it totally depends on the offset of the rims....
in the picture, these are 16*8 with 225's

they rubbed on the trailing arm and the trunk wall, the interferance to the outer fender was not that bad...add a spacer for clearance and I don't think the fender would have to be pulled too much

Step aside, boys.    Here's ultimate (for me, anyway) 914 with the perfect flares (245 front, 285 rears).  All steel, including original fender lip.  Done by a pro (definitely NOT me). (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif)   My skill comes in writing the check. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)
(IMG:http://www.abc-digital-art.com/Porsche/images/Parade.jpg)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Nice work, I like the lines...........except the wing.

It's a track car and the wing is functional. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Comes off without a trace with four bolts, so it's not too bad. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif)
(IMG:http://www.abc-digital-art.com/Porsche/images/14-2005.jpg)

That's a nice ass shot! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/drooley.gif)

4 cyl. or 6 cyl. ? An what kind of exhaust is that?

She's a six. 1987 3.2 liter, mildly massaged. Need something to push those huge tires. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

The muffler is Camaro (hiss), custom welded. Sounds very nice and not too loud.

A lot of very nice pictures. I have to quote Sir Mix A Lot. " I like big butts and i cannot lie"... Flare it! Any way you go, your car will be yours and not a knock off of another 1,000,000 honda/acura/toyota/lexus burners that buy all of their parts at Checkers and spend 10k on paint, big rim/tyre combos, a fart box, and a bottle.

Someone know this car? I bet you its all as sweet as the rear shot.

I realy dig these types of comparisions. How many "licenced" Bodymen do we have in the group?

The car in the Hershey shot is okay - but the freakin photoshop job is making my eyes hurt. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)

Personally - I love GT flares - and it was Andy's car that did it for me.
