My daughter's '73 has the brakes sorted out. Now I'm digging into the reason there isn't a light going on for either the MC or the parking brake.
There are two wires that were disconnected from the old MC. Which of the two wires connects to the MC? |

Originally they all had 2 pole switches, but they began to be replaced by the single pole version a long time ago. AFAIK the 2 pole switches are not self grounding, thus requiring the ground pole. The one wire is brown with a yellow stripe and should be connected to the single pole switch. The single pole switch has the benefit of a reset button. switches were quickly replaced as they usually came with the M/C.
