Thanks for letting me share and for my introduction to 914World.

This was never a commercial venture and is just about a couple of early Porsche enthusiasts getting carried away when hunting for their own needs.

The project has been a lot of fun and we've been lucky to receive some amazing feedback with the likes Armando Serrano saying these are the best reproductions ever made with Glenn Stazak echoing those comments and even purchasing a couple of coolers for his own cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's been a real buzz seeing these coolers being fitted to real RSR's and the like although I get most excited about seeing them find their way onto somebody's project where I've seen the hours of love and dedication that it takes to build these amazing cars...

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/live.staticflickr.com-28677-1752356304.1.jpg)

...I'm looking forward to seeing a few photos of these fitted to a 914-6 GT.

I wonder if it will ever be my own!!

Cheers,

Collected what will be the final batch of 7 GT oil coolers we'll produce from Bob at Concept Racing yesterday.....3 of these are spoken with 4 available if anyone has a need...

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/staging-jubilee.flickr.com-28677-1752956436.1.jpg)

...all a little shiny at the moment until they receive their Alocrom treatment next week....

...as wonderfully fabricated these coolers are they really are childs play when it comes to Bob's talent....

....just for interest, what's far more impressive is this oil tank he's just completed. Hand made from scratch and really quite complex internally, it really is jewellery of the highest order! Amazing what you can do with an English Wheel and a sheet of aluminium! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif) ....

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/staging-jubilee.flickr.com-28677-1752956991.1.jpg)

....can anyone guess the car it belongs to?

Not quite sure what type of mesh would have been used on the 914-6 GT although this was held in place by a simple frame bolted onto the captive nuts clipped on the cooler....

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/staging-jubilee.flickr.com-28677-1753023614.1.jpg)

....obviously the 2.8 cooler had brackets which bolted to front bulkhead of the 911 as per Patrick's Martini car above although again not certain how this worked on the 914.

I'll do some research although would be great if the knowledgeable on here could post how this was done?

Many thanks,

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)

The cap behind the back seat is the oil tank, keeping the driver warm? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) I though your friend's tank was the fuel tank for some reason. Reread the post.

Still (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)

I’ve been asked what hardware is needed to mount these coolers in a 914-6 GT, can anyone offer advice?

You can see the parts here: https://pbase.com/9146gt/oil_cooler_cover_support

Mittelmotor in Germany carries steel replicas - other places (Patrick MS) have fiberglass copies.

Just a few of the awesome cars these coolers are being fitted to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif) ...

Cutler GT
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/live.staticflickr.com-28677-1754821721.1.jpg)

Meaney GT
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/live.staticflickr.com-28677-1754821722.2.jpg)

Stoddard GT
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/live.staticflickr.com-28677-1754821722.3.jpg)

....we're now sold out of the current batch.

Not knowing how the split of RSR/914 coolers would go we held back the final 8 cores and end tanks which we plan to have fabricated at the beginning of October. Once these are made there will be no more.

At this stage we're undecided on how many we'll allocate to 914-6 GT's but if you think you might have a need now or in the future then please do let me know.

Many thanks,
