here is a question not often asked and often assumed by the buyer of the used 911 front end.....are the damn struts bent (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mad.gif) , even slightly, it can really ruin your day when you get to the alignment shop (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) The SC front-end I bought had a bent strut...be sure to carefully check out everything (although slight damage can be impossible to eyeball). Also you can plan to need a brake caliper rebuild, pads, possibly new strut inserts, etc. so don't necessarily think that buying a 15-20 year old 911 front end is a straight bolt-on w/o further expenditures. |

Andy, don't bother with the crossdrilled rotors They crack - BTDT waste of money (you'll end up replacing them well before they are worn) If you worry about gas building up between the pad and the rotor, get slotted rotors (those also work better to keep you pads from glazing) |
