Car is a 73 with 2 horns up front. Horn on the right side (passenger) has died.
Is the horn on the right side the hi tone or low tone?
Dont know if this helps, but # 614/615/681 is on the backside.
Thanks for the help.

Frequency should be indicated on the horn.

- 914 635 103 11 is 335Hz
- 914 635 104 11 is 400Hz

I am pretty sure I have spare ones if you are looking for used ones.

Can someone offer clarification on the frequency markings? I have been through several threads, but am not clear on how to distinguish. Does it literally have "335" or "400" on it?

The back of my horns don't have that. This one I believe is an early horn since it has bolts instead of rivets. Best I can surmise, the "T4" is the indicator? Its mate would be "H3"? Can anyone confirm or clarify? Maybe this is not a correct horn?

Actually what it says is
tief DGM 6536 KA
hoch DGM 6537 KA

TIEF=Low
HOCH=High

From that I suspect the plastic back part is the same used for both low and high, so you might not find the info there...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Thanks for that.

I tried various ways to look up DGM, DCM, and KA to see if they somehow related to MHz, but didn't find anything that made sense.

According to our AI overlord: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/robot.gif) DGM 6536 KA / DGM 6537 KA = Italian homologation codes (DGM = Direzione Generale della Motorizzazione, Italy’s transport authority). They’re approval numbers, not acoustic data.

I looked at those. They are very close, but you can see different markings partially blocked by the bracket. "4" (I'm assuming beginning of "400") on one and "Hz" on other.

I think I'm piecing this together now, thanks to the translation.
"T4" = Low
"H3" = High

Well, 400Hz is higher than 335Hz. So 335 would be the low tone and 400 the high tone.
