With a great amount of thanks to Bob Hill my 914 is running again and better than it has ever run. Today Bob and I worked on a new 123 distributor. My 2.0 4 cylinder engine has not run since before Octeenerfest. The old distributor and or other components went bad and the engine ran terrible. Trying to figure out what is exactly wrong is difficult. We tried everything we could think of including replacing the coil and other things but the distributor was the problem. I could not get the engine to run with the new one and waited for Bob to come down and help me out. He got it going quite quickly and it is amazing how much differently it runs. It used to balk a little bit on take off and would miss or downright cut out at around 4,000 rpm. This 123 Distributor made a heck of a difference. It runs better than it ever has. It does not balk on take off, it revs up to 5,000 rpm quite fast and just seems more powerful than it ever had. Many thanks to Bob for his assistance.

That is great. We are lucky that the 123 is out there, we have a pretty funky oem distributor and obviously the aftermarket has no interest in making it and the trigger points.

Maybe a silly question, does the 123 work with the LJet system? Anything special or tricky about swapping to a 123 on an LJet? (I'm sure I could search this up...)
Thanks Ted |

I agree with all the above. Sorry I didn't respond faster but my mother-in-law passed away and we had to take care of priorities. Anyway I would like to thank you all for your support. I would also like to say, once again, Thank you all and my 914 is running better than it ever has ever!!!

To TRP, I know that 123 has distributers for just about anybody with any kind of distributer. I heartly endorse them. So get to it. My 914 has never run so good.
