Great research (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
Many things you mention with is why so many things now are light torque then angle, and precise tightening stretch method.. and as mentioned above ...good ole fashion developing the feel.. Happy Thanksgiving,, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) |

Begs the question on how to correctly torque our alloy wheels, to what value, considering the factory recommendation for antiseize on their threads and bearing surfaces?

So I was curious and ordered one of the 0.9-60 Nm units by Suercup from Amazon. 72€ (about $83.50) delivered. Looks like a nice, well-made tool. Reading the instruction sheets was interesting though.
One of the downsides of electronics is of course having to use batteries... The wrench does have a carrier for the 3 AAA batteries so it's very easy to take them out when you're not going to be using it. However the notice on possibly needing recalibration every year... hmmm. Wonder how far out of calibration it could get. Of course, who has calibrated their clicker wrenches recently? |
