While turning into a parking space I felt a tug on my hand. My finger snagged my key chain and mortally bent the key. Being the only key I have I'm down to starting my car with a pair of pliers. Who can re-cut 914 keys? I tried once locally an no one would do it. Hi there. Locksmith here. You can do this a few easier less evasive ways. I used to work on a TON of old European cars. It was the only type of cars I work on actually. 1. Key Extractors, Using the spiral one, you can basically twist it in with out doing any damage to the wafers inside the ignition housing. And pull it out enough to get a pair of plyers on them. (Link below) 2. To have your keys cut, take them to an actual lock shop, they might have to order the key blank. Its still easily obtainable and can order. And it shouldn't be more then $10-15 retail per key. https://www.amazon.com/HPC-Broken-Key-Extra...sr=8-7&th=1 |
