I'm looking at starting full retirement, possibly overseas and will need to sell my 914. I did this car for fun and took my time building it as a personal venture so I have no clue what the value would be.

Would love it if you guys could help value this for me. What do you think?

1972 with a 2056 FAT Performance engine - pre-new ownership.
Side Shift
Custom paint
Air conditioning
GT Style bumper
Triad Exhaust
Fire Suppression
to name few mods - everything works and drives great.

Updated interior pics below.

Thanks in advance!

Definitely a beautiful car but not a great time to sell. The market is not good right now.
Wait till spring or summer.

I used to sell real estate. Winter doesn't sell as many homes but there is less competition. Summer is the opposite.

I'm currently selling my Dad's 1989 Bently. It's been on the market for about 6 weeks and I have a buyer coming down on Tuesday to pick it up.

Same philosophy as houses. Less buyers but less competition. I listed it on Ebay and there were no other similar Bently's for sale so the comp is for summertime pricing.

So I say, try selling when it suits you and see where it goes.

I'm not sure what it's worth, but I like the story of the car, and all the hard work you've put in. Personally, I really like the choices you've made with respect to the modifications...stance, color, wart removal, etc. I'm more of a less is more type guy, but I even like your A/C setup.....this might score you bonus points if it ends up in the SouthEast, Texas, Nevada, etc. Even though the market does seem down a bit right now, I gotta think your car is at least $35K min???

Oh wow. You did a ton of work on this car! I imagine this is a difficult decision to make. Best of luck on the sale. I will echo what others have said, the market is in a weird place right now, not a good time to sell a classic car. The value today isn't going to be as good as it was 6-12 months ago. BAT is an option, but I would guess low to mid 30s if you get the right interest.

Thanks everyone. It's going to be tough to part with her but I would love to see someone really enjoy this car and take care of her. Agree on timing and I planned on waiting until spring to sell her. If I could take her with me I certainly would.

Somewhere between $30 and $40k would be good.
