I couldn't stand watching him after he poked fun at the 959 in his review of it. Then he made fun of the Subaru Brat which, for some reason I have always liked. But he seems to have redeemed himself with a fair review here. I was surprised he never drove one before.

He made enough money on YouTube videos (and later, Cars & Bids) to put together his dream garage, including a Countach, Ford GT, and Porsche Carrera GT. He lauds the CGT as the last great analog sports car. Honestly, I think the CGT is the closest modern Porsche to the 914, stylistically and in spirit. Look at both in profile, side-by-side.

The auction for that one is already pushing $19K with 5 days to go. That's strong money for a 1.8L. It looks to be in good shape but the auction photos don't show longs or hell-hole so the looks could be deceiving.

He is not for everyone but I do enjoy his videos and he as a podcast that is fun to listen too as well. I have been watching him for several years now.

He first job was working for Porsche in Atlanta and was responsible for doing the paperwork for the 918's that came into the country.

He always wears shorts and usually two shirts.....A goofy guy for sure!

Doug's pretty goofy compared to most car youtubers but I like when he gets into the "quirks", especially on rare/exotic cars, as most others do not talk about such details

i turned the volume down and made it through.
i will give you that he is enthusiastic about cars.
maybe a bit over-enthusiastic........but at least he is not a car hater hey!

best bit, he was driving a 74 1.8 art and he didn't pour hate on it.
