Glad I don’t own a real Porsche. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

Well, I only buy Porsches when they're at the bottom of their depreciation curve before they start getting more valuable. (This only happens on some brands)
That's served me well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I feel like I did OK with my 997TT though largely via luck not anything I planned. Was a 5 year old dealer CPO trade-in with ~22K miles and around $60K below original sticker. A similar car just sold on BaT for about $40K more than I paid originally.

There is risk in that strategy too, I've seen many a guy buy a used 996 for $15,000-20,000, thinking he's on top of the world, only have to have to put $10,000 into the car in the first year. So he's now at $25,000-30,000 pretty quick.
