yes the 74 has both of the air passage hoses the same. 9mm ID. and according to info i found, for 75, in PET the inlet hose from the intake boot is 18mm ID ( (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) ) and the outlet to intake distributor plenum is 14mm. which must mean that on a 75 the intake distributor plenum has a larger port tube for that hose to attach to. 9mm OD on a 74 and 14mm OD on a 75. ???? i've never seen an intact 75 L jet down here so i can only go off PET info. i'm going to guess the reason for the bigger diam hoses in 75 was to slow down the decel process for a more complete burn on throttle closure to further reduce dump of unburned hydrocarbons. i have a feeling the 74 decel would work ok, would give a quicker decel maybe but i don't see why it would not work. the only thing might be you would need to do some kind of hose step up / sleeve arrangement to connect the smaller diam hose to the distributor plenum with its bigger port tube. |
