Also DO NOT trust AI for specifics. I am using AI more and more professionally and its great for some things and will lead you down a very dark path for others - and it will do so with complete confidence. AI is not good for 914s and aircooled VWs aside for general research.

There's no Intelligence in AI. It's just A.

It's a "next token" prediction engine. If the internal confidence score for the next token "purple unicorn" is high enough, that's what it will tell you.
And be 110% confident about it.

Dude its already happening. Claude was being used to determine targets in Iran by the US Military. Anthropic got word of this and tried to make them stop. And the the federal govt decided to punish Anthropic by banning them from the federal workforce - which lasted a week before the courts overturned it as overreach.

But, 100% every superpower on earth is currently linking AI with their military. Both Russia and Ukraine are now using fully AI attack drones. US and China are both finding new and creative ways for AI to kill people. Skynet is coming.

Not sure how I missed this thread being updated, guess work has me busier than I thought. Sorry for the slow replies.

The Jake Raby 9590 camshaft is an updated, modern replacement for the older 9550 camshaft. Same application. Different number. I worked with Jake on the build specs, maybe went overboard on a simple 2056 build. In hindsight a 2.3 wouldn't have been that much more when you look at everything I put into my parts. I could have purchased cheaper pistons, barrels, and heads and had an equally reliable motor.

I haven't looked into the issues with my A123 / 123ignitionusa (same unit, I just called by the wrong name) distributor since I pulled it out and got it running on the stock distributor. I started chasing decel valve and aux air valve issues. Once I got the afr and idle sorted, I swapped out the defective front bumper seal (a whole different calamity with Auto Atlanta) and then went to the Easy meet, Porsche Werks, Pebble Beach Connors, did some volunteer work and then vacation. Busy. Busy. Busy.

I was just starting to talk with a buddy about swapping 123 distributor back in to troubleshoot it some more, but now that I see the reply about 'hot being real bad' I may just send it out for replacement. I fly out on Saturday for a two week work trip. Since I won't be getting back to wrench on the car soon anyway, I can optimize that downtime for them to give the unit a once over.

The 2056 on Ljet is a proven system, lots of guys run it without issue. I was/am just going through a bunch of teething pains while changing everything at once. The motor runs well, maybe it could use more 'all in' timing than the mechanical distributor is giving it right now. The 123 will fix that once I get it replaced. Then I need to put the gowesty back in...

Still need to get the brakes bled properly... and then maybe lower it a tiny bit, then I'll need an alignment. 912s have caught my eye... need to sell the C2 if I get into 912s... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
