There’s a chance. I have a second hood that I was planning to paint and have ready for hood lights. But I like the clean hood look so it might not happen.

Edit - Giving my spare hood to a member in NJ.

Started cleaning up some trailing arms. They will get the tangerine mod so I can use 911 e-brakes and then I will figure out some sort of finish that doesn’t have to cook in the oven (the tangerine mod has a plastic liner).

Typical east coast corrosion on the pivot axles. I have a better set somewhere.

for a finish you don't have to bake,,,,,maybe consider an alkyd enamel like they use on trailers. That's what I'm planning to use on my suspension pieces. They even have a few different colors at places like tractor supply.

Cerakote offers the C-Series, a line of ambient-curing ceramic coatings specifically designed to air-dry without the need for an oven or catalyst. I believe Chris Baker used this coating on the exhaust and other pieces on his LS Swapped 914. I've seen the coating in person and it looks the same as the oven baked Cerakote on my fan shroud / exhaust.

I'm a powder coating / Cerakote convert - I powder coated/Cerakoted everything that came off my 914 while I was doing the motor swap. I wish I had powder coated the sway bars, brackets, etc. before I installed them. If I ever have to tear into the front / rear suspension, I'll Cerakote all of those parts too! I'm addicted to it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

We powder coat and cerikote at the shop. I was looking for something with more thickness than cerikote for the trailing arms. Then it will match up better with the rest of the suspension. But realistically, once its under the car, I really won't care.

Center Locks are cool! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

What I noticed was no brakes at all!

Super nice paint again (where it doesn't really matter) on the Falcon's car!

Didn't realize there was a build thread for this. I would have contributed sooner (and sent Epstein nicer photos, these are just proof of life quickies, haha)

I think the car will be 100% done today. I've had it about a year and a half, the bulk of the work (reinforcement, etc) was done quickly. Its the GD last 10% that takes the longest. Find a new hole here and there, patch it up, find another...

Lots of previous work done on the car, some very poorly, some ok. Many hollow spot welds, rough blends, etc. I fixed a good bit of it....

Mark and I went back and forth a good deal on what we fix, and what's acceptable for a driver level. I wish i had more time to devote solely to make this the a crazy bad ass GT. Eitherway we agreed, at some point you just gotta phone it in.

Anyways, what's left written in my notebook:
-Rusty area found on the bottom lip of nose panel
-Rust hole on front DS 1" or so needs patched
-Blend the fender roll on front DS better

I think thats it. Here's a couple pics of other work.

That duct was by far the most time consuming - don't tell my job how many hours I spent in solidworks making a 3d model of that, with 3 full assemblies built for testing. Shew!

Cannot wait to see it painted. Glad Mark will finally have this car back. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)

I can honestly say if Jarred hadn’t taken on my project cars, I wouldn’t have anything to send to paint. 100% due to his work and getting the job done. Maybe not perfect (due to prior condition) but honest with nothing to hide. I want drivers, not garage queens.

Got that covered with Paoli c/l elec for ride-along / Paoli nitrogen-tank powered for time-trial days ¡
ForgeLine Wheel Co. does supply a basic Torque bar for basic wheel mounting in the shop.

Center Locks are cool, but they require a bunch of work. Forgeline built a test wheel for me for fitment purposes. We are in the final stages of powder coating. I have them fitted to the car with early RSR hubs. Not the later stuff.

Don't worry about the red & blue being mixed up as the brake hats are only for fitting. Turbo brakes all around. It's going to be a hot rod.....
