Doing a J West shifter upgrade in my 6 conversion car. The J West shifter requires the use of the spacer bushing at the bottom of the factory gearshift lever. Thought it would pop out easily but struggling trying to press it out using an 8mm socket. Anyone else had trouble with this?

No. I’ve done a couple and it was always a slip fit by hand.
