QUOTE Thanks for all the suggestions and here's what I have checked: Cleaned the plug to the AFM and the connector---getting juice Cleaned the flap in the AFM Moved the flap with the key on and I could hear the fuel pump Used starter fluid but no help here @nmkimosabe You shot starter fluid down the throat and it didn't respond? At all? If that is the case I'd be checking spark. Just a suggestion. Not to sound too stupid here but what "throat" are you talking about as it's a fuel injection system and doesn't have a carb? Thanks. the Throttle Body |

Thanks. Oh sorry, ah no. It is just a slang for an orifice. Valves have a throat, intake, exhaust, etc. But it doesn't matter, I have carbs and I will shoot down one barrel to rule out an ignition issue and confirm a fuel issue. If it fires, pops, stutters, anything, good chance the ignition is working. If FI you may need to put a little more for the starting fluid to get down the runners. FI should fire give a high idle and die. Good luck |
