Hej all, I’m thinking of getting a set of these for oil changes, clutch adjustments, speedo cable repairs, type of jobs… maybe even a valve adjustment one day if I feel intrepid!!

Does anyone here use them? They seem to be the best low-profile ramps I could find — pricey, but the ~6.8° angle really appeals to me, especially since my car is already a bit lowered.

Thanks in advance for any feedback / suggestions…

I’ve used them for years to drive cars up onto my trailer. Still look like new. Incredibly strong. Very light. Not cheap but worth the money.

I have two sets of these and one thing I struggle with is storage; where do you put them when not in use? I stack them and put them off to the side. The only other thought is that I wish they were taller. I typically find myself just going straight to the jack/jackstands.

I’ve heard they can “ slide out “ from under the tires while driving up them .
Although I have no experience but I always wanted a set .

I’ve only used them for ramps onto a trailer.

I have been using them for over 10 years and love them. Not once they have slid from under the tires and my garage floor is epoxy coated.

They are a pain to store though.

Not Race Ramps but cheap ones from local auto parts store. They work well and I hang them from a nail in a rafter next to a wall in my garage.

In this case I didn't drive the car on but jacked the car up and placed ramp under. Alan Sobin in picture

Possible, but not as bad as metal ramps I owned before.

Are they high enough to allow you to get under the car?

I guess that depends on your size. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Yes, you can get under from the back far enough to change the oil/oil filter. Depending on the size of your drain pain, things can get crowded. They are nice, well made. Ridiculously expensive. I had mentioned before, they are just another thing to store. I also find that because I typically work on my cars in the garage, so backing up the cars, messing with the ramps, pulling the car back in the garage and onto the ramps etc - I have found myself just grabbing the jack and jack stands more often than using the ramps. They do work well as jack stands like others have shown above.

I wouldn’t spend the money just to use it on oil changes. They really shine when you are using them with a trailer. Light and portable but hold up to real use.

I agree with this, 100%. They shine if you are loading into a trailer or out at some sort of event, in the home garage for an oil change, a jack and jack stands are just as useful.

I use 2 floor jacks with extensions in the side jack posts and place 2 jack stands under the donuts.
