> How were all of the red positive wires originally attached to the battery terminal?, ...and best practices to un-DAPO these same wires?

I took a different approach by installing a 1 in/4 out fuze block .
Now I sleep well at night (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

@barefoot

I have a similar fuse block that i installed about 4 years ago, and recently had my car stall and it took me a while to figure out one of the 3 fuses for those 3 red wires blew. the one thats related to the FI, as the pump shut off. < I had a 20 amp fuse so im not sure why it happened. What size fuses did you install for those 3 circuits?

@krieger had it right, here is the original set up on my car.

yes - thats an original @TRP

from factory oriented this way.
pic is of L jet set up.
Attached Image

has additional black wire to dual relay compared to D jet as well as the 4 red harness wires.
fair bit they trying to stack on the block terminal bolt with an L jet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
which depends on how much of a terminal recess is available with different kinds of batteries compared to back in the day.

heres one that looks original to me on an existing car.
its spun around about 90 degrees to get those harness wires on to the block bolt.

i just decided to do this and get my connections all out one side so i could get the little battery terminal cover flap to flip down over the terminal and have clearance for underside of rain tray. let me get the dual relay black wire into one side and the 4 red harness wires in the other side with centralised starter heavy duty cable.
works well given the L jets have that extra dual relay wire.
used the same style terminal clamp on the earth side as well to rig a battery isolation switch for when the car is sitting around. originals were a strap for earth rather than a cable. also think original batteries were a little smaller than battery i have these days.
batteries have increased slightly in dimension compared to back in the 70s.

will go back into it when i get some time to redo the heat shrink wrap on the red harness wires. think they are still original heat shrink on ring terminals and they need a bit of TLC.
