I bought what I was told was an original 914-6 a reverse lever (aka bell crank) 914-423-025-01. When I compare it to the parts catalog drawing, it appears one of the arms is oriented the wrong way.

Can someone confirm or clarify what is correct? I guess there are several that look similar (i.e., 911) but are not functionally interchangeable. Thanks.

My understanding is that here is many versions of that bell crank.
I wish someone had a degreed drawing of the various versions and which car/configurations they are for.
You are obviously putting your six back to original but J-West came up with its own version on splines which can be adjusted.

Seems like there were a few versions for sure. One for carbs, MFI,CIS, and a special one for Sportmatic transmission.

Ugly as sin but available and adjustable.

The arms of yours are brazed on and can be rotated but of course that will destroy the pretty zinc plating.

I just looked at a few pics of my brothers setup and his looks close to yours.
I can go dig mine out later to confirm the angle but yours seams close if not correct.
