Hey gang, I finally got around to resealing my rear glass. In the process, took off Targa bar trim pieces, when reinstalling the seat belt bolts there is a bit of play it can pivot front to back towards the glass.

Is this normal?

I do not recall there being any play really. I torqued the bolts pretty tight…..I did take a picture of the orientation of pieces as they came apart, assembled the same way when reinstalling.

I believe those top hangers do have the ability to swing. Mine are very tight though

If I recall correctly, the end of the belt is sandwiched between two nylon washers. So they won't get direct torque. The bolt would bottom out first and the belt can pivot a bit.
