I had a hyper blinking tail light , removed bulb from other side to test then that one started hyper blinking. I opened both up to clean contacts and found that the left side had tons of corrosion and rust. The right side was okay.
Turns out the flasher relay was going out. However, is there anyone who professionally rebuilds the taillight assembly not the lens obviously mine are pretty good no cracks. There is a lot of rust and corrosion and not sure I can get it to perfection without help Thanks |

@bdstone
There are rear light housings on ebay for $125-$150 if you need to get a new one. Try using a dremel with a small wire wheel to clean the socket. Then gently scrape the center contact button with a razor knife or small flat head screwdriver. All you're looking for is to make good electrical contact. I don't know of anyone refurbishing these housings. |
