Engine Update (10/18/2026)

Pic of the “to be” installed oil cooler. Will begin the install to the bottom of the trunk on Wednesday.



Reassembly Tasks

• Finish A/C compressor install
• Finish intake install
• Hook-up engine harness (oil press warn light, coil, etc)
• Hook-up alternator (relay board + starter)
• Run fuel hose from regulator to carbs
• Install new remote oil cooler with brackets
• Install battery
• Install exhaust
• Install charcoal canister and hoses
• Hook-up catch can and return line
• Install/adjust clutch linkage
• Install speedo
• Install new TR shift rod on previously modified TR shift console
• Verify/Adjust Shifter Pattern
• Hook-up AFR sensor
• Hook-up #1 & #3 CHT sensors
• Mount AFR Gauge in Interior
• Mount CHT Gauges in Interior
• Reconnect Inner Heim-rod bracing
• Reconnect Aux Air motor and Tubing to Heat Box Intake
• Reconnect Oil Temp sensor
• Reconnect Oil Pressure Gauge Wire
• Clean-up, Tie-back all wiring
• Reinstall TR Heater Box (optional)
• Install Engine Hood

Pre-Start Checks

• Check Valve Lash
• Add Fuel to tank/ Prime Fuel lines / Check for leaks
• Verify Starter Operation
• Check Oil Level
