Plain bottle. Original. Nov 73 body; May 74 completion. 1.8L. I Really need to post smaller images…. yours was sold in may in the USA. car would have been completed in nov of 73. yours is a match for this 10/73 74 2.0 that was very original and sold on BAT a few years back for 64K. was a long time owner of that particular car. though there is just a hint of pinkishness to this one. could be just that its faded almost to clear. also here are two examples of 73 17 i had on file which were very good orig cars. i don't have much more on 73 MY, outside my narrow gauge interest in L jets. 03/73 build. 07/73 build, must have been right at end of 73MY production just before summer shutdown. they look pinkish, or very faded red. looks like before the blue screw collars came along they might have been pinkish/red and its faded to clear in some cars, or its a mixture of the pinkish red and clear collars in batches. hard to know for sure, but one thing that is for sure, they are not blue. and far as i can tell from at least dec 73 on its pretty much blue collar bottles i believe as a fair conclusion. earlier than that. i don't have material on file to draw conclusions. |
