Am currently going through the process of scanning some of my B/W negatives from the '70s and '80s for an upcoming photo show. At some point in 1977 I was photographing the multilevel 580-24 freeway interchange in Oakland, CA on what appears to have been a hazy/smoggy day. In looking at the scans, I realized I had caught a 914 on the road...

I remember the smoggy days in the '60s-'70s growing up here in the bay area, we all lived with it as a normalized condition. Especially bad in the LA basin.
Now...its 'blue skies, smiling at me'... |
